Yaeger Architecture, Inc. was the Designer of Record for this Design-Build Contract awarded to Greenleaf Construction Company by the Omaha District, Corps of Engineers. The Army Standard Design Chapel Complex was designed to accommodate worship services of all distinctive faith groups with a seating capacity of 600 persons in fixed pews, and up to 1,191 persons utilizing folding chairs in the expansion area. The facility accommodates sacramental, dedication, marriage, memorial and funeral services, religious education programs, chapel fellowship and outreach activities, soldier ministry programs, family life ministry, and religious pastoral care programs. The building interior is designed to allow each congregation or community group the maximum amount of flexibility to meet their particular needs. The chapel was designed to meet the Department of Defense Minimum Security and Ant-Terrorism Standards. All designs were prepared utilizing REVIT System BIM and the Centers of Standardization Facility Standard Design.
This project received the first "Excellent" rating from the US Army Sustainable Design & Development Validation team.
