Park Place Village is an urban-style development at the corner of 115th and Nall in Leawood, KS. Yaeger Architecture designed a three-story mixed-use building which features storefront space on the ground level with two floors of leasable office space above, as part of the second phase of the development. The design of Park Place Village evokes the feel of a traditional urban streetscape and features wide sidewalks fronting narrow streets with parallel parking. Landscaping and outdoor furniture add to the appeal.
Also part of Phase 2 is a five-deck parking facility. The design of the parking facility blends seamlessly with the architecture of Park Place Village through the use of materials and ornamentation. Located close to the Leawood City Hall, Park Place Village is effectively creating a “downtown” pedestrian-oriented district in a traditional suburb that has never had such a district.
