YAI was awarded a task order under their Kansas City District, Corps of Engineers, IDIQ AE Services Contract to prepare 100% design documents for this design-bid-build contract. The Army Standard Design Chapel Complex, with approximately 36,000 SF, was designed to accommodate worship services of all distinctive faith groups with a seating capacity of 600 persons in fixed pews, and up to 1,191 persons utilizing folding chairs in the expansion area. The facility accommodates sacramental, dedications, marriage, memorial and funeral services, religious education, chapel fellowship and outreach activities, soldier ministry programs, family life ministry, and religious pastoral care programs. The chapel was designed to meet the Department of Defense Minimum Security and Anti-Terrorism Standards. All designs were prepared utilizing Bentley System BIM and the COS Facility Standard Design.
